Problem

The MOCAP system the program acquired came with support for finger tracking, but the kit didn’t come with finger rings for tracking dots.

Solution

A simple Houdini network saves the day, creating each ring with mil diameter debossed into the side and breather holes cut to size. Designed with 3D printing in mind, bottom half of ring is 1.6mil wide to align with the 0.4 nozzle, model is flat-backed with minimal bridging.

Production

After some iteration and debugging, printed a few plates of sizes from 12-20mil to be used by the mocapping student.

Turnaround Time: 5 days. Low Priority, most to printing the painfully slow TPU.
